Most of the scene was made of 2x3 meter modules that I would later vertex paint with the broken plaster material to remove the uniformity.

For my final assignment I was tasked with re-creating a piece of art over the course of 10 weeks. The image I recreated was a piece painted by Evgeny Lushpin entitled "Placidity". My goal for this scene was to capture the warm, relaxing evening of the scene contained within the painting, while still providing enough interest to draw the viewer through the scene.

This project pushed my artistic skills in new directions that I had never been pushed in, having to create shaders and effects to complement more complex geometry and tie the scene together. The scale of the scene was a challenge in of itself, as the overall composition was something I had to take into heavy consideration.

This would not have been possible without the guidance and assistance from Vince Joyal and everyone else who offered critiques and feedback throughout the project.
